INTRODUCTION
 WHAT IS RADISH
-one of the nutritious root vegetable
-their greens provide an excellent source
of vitamin C.
-effective when used as a medicinal food
for liver disorders.
-help to maintain a healthy gallbladder
• WHAT IS THE PROBLEM IN THE
PRODUCTION OF RADISH
 Some of the producer of radish use chemical
or inorganic fertilizers which can cause the
consumers cancer brought by the chemicals
 The production of radish are lessen as the
day pass by.
•Bokashi as Organic Fertilizer
 made by fermenting organic matter
 serves as a rapid working fertilizer
 Enhance microbial diversity
 Supply nutrients to the plants
 Enhance the photosynthetic capacity of the
plants
 Environment friendly
Objectives:
 Find out the effect of different levels of
wood vinegar on the growth of radish
in terms of:
 No. of leaves
 Width of leaves
 Length of leaves
• Find out the effect of
different
levels of wood vinegar on the yield
of radish:
olength of root
odiameter of root
oweight of harvest roots
Chapter II
Review of Related Literature
• Soil and Climatic Requirement of
Radish
-Radish can be grown on sandy loam
type
-tolerant to any kind of climatic
condition but prefers cool (10-18oC)
-Optimum soil temperature for seed
germination is 7.2-29.4oC
Effects of Bokashi
 For most vegetable crops it is sufficient to apply
the Bokashi three times during the growing
season.
 it is of good use in coffee, banana and tobacco
plantations
 For field crops on average 100 - 200 gram of
Bokashi per square meter is sufficient.
 It can be used as a soil amendment to increase the
nutrient level and as beneficial microbial
inoculates

Materials and Methods
 Material
 The materials used in this study are the
following:
 1 sachets of Radish Speedy Variety
 bokashi
Laboratory Equipment
 triple beam balance

Foot rule
Calculator
meter stick
vernier caliper
Thermohygrometer
Methods
 Experimental Design
 A two factor experiment in T-test was used
in this study. With BOKASHI will be assign
as Factor A while without BOKASHI will be
as Factor B. Each treatment was replicated
three times.
 Factor A – with bokashi
 Factor B – without bokashi
