THE IMPORTANCE OF MINING

1. Vehicle Fuels :
Vehicles are a very important item because they are a means of
mobility on Earth. Mining has one of the uses, namely as vehicle fuel which
causes the vehicle to be used. The mining items that can be used to make
fuel are petroleum.
2.Asphalt base material:
Asphalt is one of the ingredients to smooth the road. Roads are
the most important access to mobility on earth that can connect one
region to another.
3. Gas oil base ingredients:
Is one of the minerals used as a base material for making gas oil
is petroleum. Petroleum is indeed a mineral which is very vital. So,
petroleum is needed by humans to carry out various activities.
4. As fuel for electricity generation
Electricity is a very important thing, it even becomes the
foundation of human life. there are also mining goods that become power
plants, namely coal
5. Production of iron and steel makers
Iron and steel is one of the minerals which is very important for
use, especially in the field of development. Iron and steel have sturdy
properties that are widely used for building construction. In its processing,

Mining products are also used to neutralize waste, mainly
industrial waste. The mining items used to neutralize waste are limestone.

ACTIVITIES ( POSITIVE IMPACT)
1. Making a job Field:
Knowing that Indonesia has abundant natural resources,
especially in the mining sector, the many mining industry activities
will open up many jobs for the community.
2. Improve people's welfare:
because of a lot of job openings which will have a good
impact on the level of welfare in Indonesia.
3 . As a source of foreign exchange
because there are so many natural resouces in Indonesia
there will be many domestic and foreign people who certainly want
to invest in Indonesia by seeing Indonesia's potential in the mining
sector, the investment will make taxes that will be given to the
country which will increase the country's foreign exchange
 HOW TO MINIMIZE THE NEGATIVE IMPACT

• Mining activities cannot be done haphazardly, there is a need for

permission from the local government
• Every mining company needs to monitor the surrounding
environment
• Revoke mining company operating permits that violate AMDAL
• Choose the right way to parse the impact of environmental
damage
• Maintain biodiversity around mining sites
• Mining companies must reclaim ex-mining excavations
• Provide education to every local resident about the dangers of
illegal mining
