In 1570 Juan de Salcedo
(Legaspi grandson) was sent to Mindoro to punish Muslim Pirates FIRST CONQUEST OF MANILA • Upon his return to Panay, Salcedo reported to his grandfather about the prospertity of Manila, a Muslim Kingdom ruled by Rajah sulayman.
