Video Games

And How They Affect Us

Introduction
Video gaming is clearly a popular form of entertainment.
Video gamers spend 3 billion hours per week in front of their
screens.
Due to their widespread use, people are concerned how video
games affect our brain and behavior.
Are these effects positive or negative?
Let’s examine the evidence.
Figures
At a glance, more than 2.3 billion people around the world play
video games regularly, or for at least 3 hours per week.

The average gamer is a 35 year old adult, while 72% of gamers

aged 18 or older.

For video game use by children, most parents (71%) indicate that
video games have a positive influence on their child's life.
Blame
Unfortunately most people have always assumed video games
were the cause of many mental and physical problems. Even if
there was a lack of scientific evidence to prove it.
Some say it is in our human nature to find something to blame
when there's an issue, and video games have always been an easy
target.
But things have changed and now more professional studies are
being conducted to find out the truth.
Facts
While there still isn’t enough evidence to offer a solid answer,
the good news is that most researchers are discovering that
games can be good for us.

Games and myself
My favorite game at the moment is Fortnite.
I love to play this game because the graphics are charming,
no cheaters, runs smoothly, building part of fortnite is
creative, map is small and there is a lot of action, and you
can dance too.
