 The broken Chajja on the back
facade creates a the surface
exposed to the water and
atmospheric agents.

 The doors and windows under the


Chajja are also now exposed to
atmospheric agents which is causing
rotting in the wood. Exposed Masonry due to collapse of veranda

 The iron clamps and hooks used


on the walls are rusting which is
creating cracks and the existing
cracks are being widened.

Electrical Lines Damaging the walls


The present condition of the laid
pipes are leaking damaging the
external plaster

Seepage and efflorescence in the


walls due to use of cement plaster

 Leakage in the water pipes is


causing growth of algae and moss Leaking Water Pipes Damaging the walls
on the outer surface

 The cracked and broken pipes


create dampness and also

Use of in-appropriate bitumen sheets Electrical Lines Damaging the walls

Moisture trapped inside the walls & roofs Moisture trapped inside the walls & roofs

Moisture trapped inside the building ceilings and walls due to seepage
from the above floors
 Inappropriate use of bitumen sheets on the roof is causing the damage to
the original structure
The vegetation growth can be
seen on the building with on
cracks which have developed on
the edges and roofs

 The vegetation growth mainly


consists of Ficus Religosa and
invading grasses, etc.

 The window panes have been Vegetation growth on the building


removed and altered which has
caused permanent damage to the
existing wooden frames

 The original glass panes have


been broken which was later
retrofitted with ply and boards
causing permanent damage to the
window panes

The door openings have been
vandalized which is causing animal
littering in the building

 The wooden frames specially


exposed to open have decayed
due to weathering and low
maintenance.

 The skylights have been modified Damaged doors and opening modified
and are damaged

 The original glass has been


damaged which is causing water
seepage from the damaged
skylights

Skylights of the main hall has been altered
