 Writing A Blog

Today, with easy access to computers and the

internet, people write their diaries differently. From
handwritten entries on a piece of paper or a
notebook page, diaries in contemporary times
come in the form of online journals which are
called BLOGS.
 WHAT IS A BLOG?

NOUN
1. A website containing a writer’s or group of writers own experiences,
observations, opinions, etc. and often having images and links to other
websites.
2. A single entry or post on such a website.
VERB
3. To maintain or add new entries to a blog.
4. To express or write about on a blog.
Example:
She’s been blogging her illness for almost a year.

phases when several political blogs were born. Also, blogs with how-to manuals began to
appear. Established institutions began to note the difference between the journalism and blogging.

focus on art (art blogs), photographs (photoblogs),

Why is blogging so popular?
It’s important to mention that blogging grows with each
passing day! Hence, to answer the question ‘what is
blogging’ we need to look at the factors behind its rise.

In early stages, blogs became mainstream, as news

services began using them as tools for outreach and opinion
forming. It became a new source of information.
 Why is BLOGGING so popular

• Blogs
allow you to talk about any topics and express your opinion. You’ll
find some bloggers writing on every activity that took place during the
day. These may range from small issues such as waking up, to major
issues like human rights and climate changes! Remember that as a
blogger, you need to rely on the topics that you love.
 Who is a blogger?

A blogger is someone who runs and controls a blog. He or she

shares his or her opinion on different topics for a target audience.

Bloggers are mobile and don’t need to be in one place. They

live on the internet!

• 65% of bloggers are 18-44 years old. 30% are 25-34.

• Bloggers are well-educated: 7 out of 10 bloggers have gone to college, a majority

of whom are graduates

• Bloggers are active across social media: they're twice as likely to post/comment
on consumer-generated video sites like YouTube, and nearly three times more
likely to post in Message Boards/Forums within the last month

• 70% of bloggers have been active more than 2 years. 20% of all bloggers have
been active more than 6 years.

1. Supposed you are going to make your own blog. What would be
your very FIRST BLOG.
2. Follow the four parts of a blog : the Header, the sidebar, the
Footer, and the Body.
3. Put it in 1 short white board paper. Put an indicator at the bottem
of your paper

4. Be sure to fit all the contents in 1 short white board paper, no more
no less.
5. Designs, colors, font style and size depend on you. Pls. read the
