TRANSPORTATION

Festivals are of great excitement

and brings a lot of joy into
everyone's lives as mentioned in
the social impacts. However, being
a densely populated country,
during these festivals there is a
chaos as people travel from one
place to another to be with their
near and dear ones. Transportation
is a major issue in case of road,
water, air and rail.
Road:
 Ticket price increases
 Unfit vehicles on the highway
 Increase in accidents
 Due to huge demand, unskilled
drivers are asked to drive which
is risky
Water:
 Most dangerous
 No fixed ticket price
 Overloaded during festivals
Air:
1. Less time consuming
2. More passengers during festivals
3. On time during festivals also
4. Advanced tickets are preferable or else
price is extremely high during festivals
Train:
1. Fixed ticket price but during festivals
corruption rises in the form of black ticket
market
2. Despite of adding extra compartments,
many people cannot get the ticket and
people with low income cannot afford to
buy tickets in black so they travel on the
roof of the train
3. During festivals when passengers don’t get
tickets, they travel by standing, which slows
the train speed causing change of
schedules with long waiting hours which
effects passengers
