CAUSES ON HERITAGE STRUCTURES :
LACK OF URBAN POLICIES ON HERITAGE CONSERVATION :
Heritage conservation is not perceived as a main development objective, given the
overall context of severe urban poverty and lack of basic urban services. Cultural heritage has
not been mainstreamed into the overall development framework and there is the need to
integrate heritage protection urban planning legislation and practice.
LACK OF AWARENESS ABOUT CULTURAL URBAN HERITAGE AND LIMITED CITIZENS
PARTICIPATION IN LOCAL GOVERNANCE.
 UNPLANNED AND MISMANAGED TOURISM.
Tourism, despite being a great economic opportunity, is often insensitive to
local resources and the needs of local population. This has been translated into loss of local
memory, sense of place and cultural identity, with commodification of heritage sites.

• In last 150 years – Hyderabad had been developed a lot in terms of ubanization.
• Because of this urban sprawl the importance for historical buildings is been reduced due to
lack of awareness.
• in 1870’s the Errum Manzil Palace was in to main road of the hyderabad.
• now, the road infront of palace is been raised up according t the present scenario.
•And as of now telangana govt had proposed to demolished the structure and construct a new
building in the place of that.
• this is where, ERRUM MANZIL PALACE - once a historical structure is turning out to be.
• historical structures are to be protected as they are the one who bring fame to the particular
region / country.
