 Example
• Bongiwe is a teacher in Khayelitsha at Bulumko High
School,she has to travel from Samora Machel to Nyanga in
order to take a taxi to Khayelitsha.

• She do an interchange taking a taxi from Nyanga to

Khayelitsha to reach her destination.
 Using a Cartesian plain
• We assume that A- SAMORA MACHEL, B-NYANGA,C-
KHAYELITSHA, given the points (-4,-2),(8,3),(8,-2)
respectively

• We also assume that the distance is in a straight line because

we want to calculate how long does she travel from Samora
Machel to Khayelitsha.

• Then distance of A and B how long she has travels.
