INTRODUCTION TO SITE-
BACKGROUND-

Kundinapuri ( present day kaudanyapur) was the capital of Vidarbha Kingdom (The Vidarbha kingdom in the Sanskrit epic Mahabharata is among the many kingdoms ruled by Yadu kings (Bhoja
Yadavas). It is the southernmost kingdom within the epic's geographical horizon, south of the Vindhya range, in the region still known as Vidarbha in what is now Central India),ruled by king
Bhima. It was also ruled by king Bhishmaka and his son Rukmi, a Bhoja-Yadava. However, king Rukmi created another capital for Vidarbha called Bhojakata. (Belief is that Damayanti, the wife
of Nala was the princess of Vidarbha. Similarly Rukmini, the eldest wife of Vasudeva Krishna was from Vidarbha. Sage Agastya's wife Lopamudra, also was a princess from the country of Vidarbha
as mentioned in the Mahabharata.Indumati, the Grandmother of Lord Rama and mother of King Dasharatha was also a princess of Vidarbha kingdom).

ABOUT VILLAGE-
Kaudanyapur Village, with population of 935 is Teosa sub district's the 29th most populous village, located in Teosa sub district of Amravati district in the state Maharashtra in India. Total
geographical areaof Kaudanyapur village is 7 km2 and it is the 27th biggest village by area in the sub district. Population density of the village is 132 persons per km2. Nearest town of the
village is Amravati and distance from Kaudanyapur village to Amravati is 45 km. Teosa is the sub district head quarter and the distance from the village is 26 km. District head quarter of the
village is Amravati which is 45 km away.

NEED FOR DEVELOPNMENT –


As mentioned above Kaudanyapur has historical background ( which is even proved by archaeological survey of india (I.S.A) ) It is the land of lord krishna's first wife ( rukhumini)and even the
remains are foundin excavation evey time . According to Myth these is the place from where lord krishna ran with rukhmini . many small small temples are loacated dedicated to ganesha ,
vitthala , ambika , krishna... Etc but the main focus is to combine all these temples as it is the place having HISTROCIAL , RELIGIOUS background from decads. To restore the glory of
KAUDANYAPUR ,( and to make it spritiual , art , cultural as well as trading capital for all surrounding villages ) We ned to prapose tempel complex with all facalities for minimun 25000-30000
peoples . Cltural platform ,riverfront developnment . Main aim is to attract people from all around so that they will know the glory of Vidharbha through art , sclupture , architecture , vastu
..etc.

AIM OF THESIS-
To study the design principles and philosophical proposition of a hindu templeand having understood them , re -interpret and re- express them in combination .

FOCUS /OBJECTIVE –
1. To blend the art and architecture with temple in tradational as well as modern way.
2. To create the environment that brings peace , harmony and also give a grand platform for all rituals program that may occur in future.
3. Main focus is to make Kaudanyapur as a center ( center of architecture , art , sculpture , murals , carvings , pre vedic schools ...etc ) that will be carried by temple authorities .

METHODOLOGY-
Faith is one of the main ( key ) factore in desigining of the temple .The other criteria will be understand the temple from the prescective of professional such that it is not different from any
other building program .
1. how is the plan oriented ?
2. how does the circulation and movement occer ?
3. What kind of light comes into the building.
4. how does the shade and shadow activate the exterior.
5.What materials and constructions technique are used.
6.What are the formal principle that are used to organization of element .
