INTRODUCTION

 Generation, transmission and distribution of electrical energy i

nvolve many operational losses and faults.
 In this project we can easily find out where the fault is occur in
the transmission line with the help of IOT
 The IOT is the concept of connecting any device with an ON a
nd OFF switch to the internet and then give a appropriate outp
ut
OBJECTIVES

 The main objective of our project is find out the transmission li

ne faults, power theft without the help of human and easily loc
ate the exact location of where the fault is occur
 Various sensors are used to identifying the symptoms that lead
s to network failure. The detected issues are communicated
Through IOT to the concerned persons

EXISTING SYSTEM
EXISTING SYSTEM

In existing system we can only find out the fault occu
r in the transmission system
We cannot find out the exact location of the transmiss
ion line faults
In this system only indicate the fault in overhead trans
mission line
PROPOSED SYSTEM
PROPOSED SYSTEM

In proposed system we can easily find out the fault an

d exact location of the fault in transmission line
Also find the power theft in transmission line
The faults are identified by current and voltage sensor
and indicated to mobile with the help of internet of thi
ngs
METHODOLOGY

 The current and voltage sensor are used to sense the how much current and
voltage are flowing through the transmission line
 Resistance detector are used to detect the flow of resistance in the RYB pha
ses and neutral
 Frequency detector are used to detect the frequency in the substation to dist
ribution transformer line
 Capacitor banks are used to maintain the power factor value unity
 Relay is used to automatically ON and OFF the circuit whenever over curre
nt or over voltage and any other fault can occur in the ciruit

CONCLUSION
In this project we have designed a Internet of things based
transmission line health monitoring and indication system that
sends information of the same to control room via SMS. The
system continuously monitor various parameters of the system. It
provides the way to detect faults such as wastage of energy and
power theft. The implementation of the system will save large
amount of electricity
