AIM
• Boat fabrication along with rudder and fins is being done
by 2 groups as their final year project, under Dr. Sunil
Kumar Gupta

Our Aim is
• To design a fin control system for Roll stabilization of
boats.
• To design a Radio Control system for Rudder control of
model boat.

The ultimate goal is to design an affordable system which


makes boat rides smoother and safer.

The present technologies available for ship stabilization are
• Bilge keels
• Active Tanks
• Roll Stabilizing Gyros
• Fin stabilizers

Fin stabilizers
The stabilizing power of fins is generated by their
movement through the sea (Drag Force) and lift created
by the flow of water above and below the or hydrofoil
shape, depending on the angle of attack.
