BUSINESS PROPOSAL FOR
PALM OIL PRODUCTION
INTRODUCTION
 The planned palm oil project is the results of strong industries and need assessment studies
undertaken in Ashanti Region particularly in Bekwai.

 This survey reveals that despite the demand for palm oil in the area, there is low production and
availability of commodity.

 The industry will create jobs and wealth to teeming youth. It will reduce unemployment which
in turn will reduce crime rate.

 It will also increase the GDP of the economy for the nation as a result of tax to be paid from the
industry.
PURPOSE OF BUSINESS

 Production and Services of Bepalmist Palm Oil company, is to become a major player in the
palm oil industry;

 Bepalmist will be involved in palm oil processing, packaging, wholesale distribution, production of
palm kernel and supply of palm kernel cake for soap makers and poultry farmers in Ashanti region
(Ghana).
 we could supply the product and services to the country at large and export the excess.

 Aim : Our aim of starting this business is to produce quality palm oil in a clean environment that
will make use of modern technology with honesty and profit from our services rendered. We will do
all that is permitted by the laws of the country.
VISION

 The vision of Bepalmist Company Limited is to be number one in the


production of quality palm oil in the Ashanti Region of Ghana particularly in
the Bekwai Municipality.

MISSION
 Our mission is to establish a standard and world class palm oil production
business that in our own capacity will favorably compete with leaders in the
industry. We want to build a palm oil business that will be listed amongst the
top 5 palm production brands in the West Africa coast
KEY SUCCESS FACTORS
 Potential customers are many,
 low competition,
 availability of raw materials,
 high demand for the product,
 high skilled workers with excellent orientation on customer care services.

OWNERSHIP
 The enterprise will be partially owned by the state and the private individuals. The form of
business to operate is public company.
LOCATION OF THE BUSINESS

 The factory will be located at Bekwai in the Ashanti


Region, Ghana because of the under listed reasons:
 Availability of land to contain the expansion of the
business
 The availability of cheap and reliable labour
 Proximity to the target market
 Proximity to raw materials
 Security for the factory and the farmers.
LEGAL STATUS
 The factory will be duly registered with the Registrar Generals Department and National Food
and Drugs Authority. It will have trademark for uniqueness.

PRODUCTS
 The products will be of very high quality, smooth and refined palm oil. Better aroma, high taste
and well packaged palm oil that will come in different sizes.
BUSINESS STRATEGY

 For the business to boom, the factory has laid down the following strategies;

 To ensure customer satisfaction there will be an adoption of customer care


service
 The enterprise will render direct service delivery to customers
 The factory will employ the use of improved facilities and latest technology
for better standards of products

 Palm oil is a universal ingredient for cooking and other manufacturing purposes like soap.
 Market for the products include Central Market, Asafo Market, Fumso Market and Bekwai Market.
 The market will be an open market but more strictly to customers on request.

 The target customer for this enterprise includes;
 Male and female traders in Ghana,

developed based on the needs and wants of manufacturers and end
consumers alike.

 The proposed project is to be fully implemented with an investment of GH₵ 75,975.95peseword
made up of GH₵ 81,700.50peseword working capital.
 The vision of the enterprise is to provide a well – refined and quality palm oil in Ghana
particularly in Ashanti Region by 2020 – 2025.
 The proposed project will be located at Bekwai Municipality because of the easy accessibility to
the raw materials needed for the project.
 A ready market exists for the business.
