Identify, compare and contrast:
The different objectives, methods and
effects of the Filipino revolts during
the Spanish era
Encomenderos - the holder of
an encomienda, a Spanish labor system that
rewarded conquerors with the labor of
particular groups of subject people.
Religious intolerance - intolerance of
another's religious beliefs or practices or lack
thereof.
Due to the wrong
doings the Spaniards
did towards the Filipino
ancestors, a number of
the revolts' objective
was to do this. The
following are revolts
that fall onto this
objective:
The Spanish, in attempt
to transfer the native
Filipino's religion to
Roman Catholic, made
many rules. They tried
to ban the natives'
religion, which in effect,
made a number of them
angry. They started
revolts that had this
objective, such as:
Since many of the
Spanish Encomenderos
abuse their rights,
encomenderos made
unreasonable demands of
the natives who lived on
their lands, working
them excessively. Which
is what led to this
objective, making
Filipinos make revolts
against them.

the Spanish

the Filipinos at that
time had their lands
