- The way in which two or more people
or things are connected.
Impersonal Relationship
- Commitment not to a person or group of
persons, but to an entity such as business
organization, a principle, or a cause.
Personal Relationship
- Type of relationship which is closely
associated with a person and which can
only have meaning to this person.

Three Attachment styles:
1. Secure Attachment
2. Avoidant Attachment
3. Anxious- Ambivalent Attachment
Secure Attachment- is when the
primary caregiver is most of the
time present and available.
Chances are, the child will grow
up to have more secure
relationships.
Avoidant Attachment- is when
the primary caregiver is cold and
detached, and unresponsive to
the child’s needs.
Chances are, the child will grow
up avoiding meaningful
relationship.
Anxious- ambivalent attachment- is
when the primary caregiver is not
consistent in terms of presence and in
meeting the child’s emotional needs.
Chances are, the child will grow up
having hesitancy and commitment
when entering into meaningful
relationship.
Transference Effect
-Liking someone who reminds us
of someone in the past.
Propinquity effect
•Liking someone who are familiar
with us, people who lives close
with us, works with us, or goes to
school with us, which leads us to
liking them more.
Similarity
•Liking people who we have
similarities with, such as social
class background, religious
beliefs, age, and education.
Reciprocity
•Liking a person who likes us
back.
Physical Attractiveness
•Liking someone who we find
physically attractive.
