Objectives
Help students
to understand the molecular basis of life,
to master the fundamental chemical principle
that underlie the living processes,
to understand the biochemical metabolisms
that unify in the living organisms,
to contribute current knowledge in various
areas of the advance of biotechnology, the
practice provides students with the
techniques of biochemical analysis and
know how to use the bio-instruments.
3
Course description

The course introduces the molecular structure and

function, the metabolic reactions.
The course focuses on the metabolism of the basic
substrates such as carbohydrates, lipids,
nitrogens and their relationship among them in
metabolism.
Enzymes that join the metabolisms will be
described the structure and function and they
are also well classified into each group.
In the practical part, describe how to prepare a
sample, standard solutions and how to design
an experiment, and also provide biochemical
analysis methods.

Intellectual skills

 Your success in this course will depend to a great

extent on your willingness to take an active role in
your education.
 Independent study skills including exploring
references for information that complement those
provided in the lectures, taking note, summarizing,
critical thinking, time management.
 Using scientific approach to seek the answer for an
unsolved problem.
 Get acquainted with academic writing and
presenting
 Must keep up with your reading and other
assignments to have time to reflect, ask questions
and seek help from instructor if necessary.
