PAST: It used to be an
overlooked and
underdeveloped airport
PRESENT: More flights are
offered with 2.5 million
flights making the highest in
2018. it is now one of the
busiest airports in the
country with 524 domestic
flights and 222 weekly
international flights.
FUTURE: Airport terminals

TRAIN SYSTEMS
PAST: Major pain for commuters, lack of coaches,
repeated breakdowns and passenger overflow
PRESENT: MRT unloading incident and service interruption
are reduced . PNR have now extended train services
from Caloocan to Makati.
FUTURE: The Department of Transportation is seeking to
complete more than 320 kilometers of railway projects by
2022— more than four times the current footprint—in
Luzon and Mindanao

TRANSPORTATION
PAST: Philippines was dubbed as Republikang
Walang Plaka. No driver’s license and only
paper seals were distributed
PRESENT: LTO manufactures its own display
with 1.7 million plates distributed nationwide,
10 million license printed with 5 year validity
and 32 security features were installed
against counterfeit.
FUTURE: Completion of NLEX-SLEX Connector

PAST: Philippines Coastguard is
decades behind in resources and
equipment
PRESENT: Fast patrol boats,
multiple responses vessels, rigid
