Binomial Distribution
In probability theory and statistics, the binomial distribution
with parameters n and q is the discrete probability
distribution of the number of successes in a sequence of n-
independent experiments.
P(X=x) = (nCx) (qn-x) (px)
• Where p = Probability of Success
• q = Probability of failure
• P(X=x) = Probability of x successes in n trials

Discovered by Swiss Mathematician, James Bernoulli

Conditions or Assumptions to Apply
Binomial Distribution

1. Finite Number of Trials.

2. Mutually Exclusive Outcomes.
3. Probability of success in each trial is constant.
4. Trials are independent.
P(x=0) = p(0H) = P(T) * P(T) * P(T)

P(x=1) = p(1H) = P(HTT) * P(THT) * P(TTH)

P(x=2) = p(2H) = P(HHT) * P(THH) * P(HTH)

P(x=3) = p(3H) = P(HHH) * P(HHH) * P(HHH)
