Definition of an international migrant

changes his or her country of usual residence,
irrespective of the reason for migration or legal
status if duration is at least 1 year.

According to the Dublin Regulation, there were
introduced some idea of saving of migration crisis
in EU:

 to return migrants to the countries where


they are registered
 to introduce country quotas for migrants
 to build “landing platforms” for
immigrants outside/inside the EU.
 to help North Africa, Turkey, and the
Middle East with money

are still trying to
build shelters that
can cope with the
influx of people.

SUGGESTIONS
 Reinforce the resettlement and relocation systems
 Considering private sponsorship
 Improve the living conditions at refugee centers in
Turkey and Europe
 Create new system that allows asylum-seekers to
register requests from their home countries or states
adjoining the EU
 Open legal channels for economic migrants seeking
work in the EU, both high and low qualified
employees
