    Classroom News

    What We Will Learn:


    This week we will continue to work with our Language Arts unit’s Essential Question
    - “How can technology make a difference in our lives?” Our phonics skill for the
    week will be “soft” c & g. The soft c is found in words such as city, cent, and nice.
    Soft g is found in word such as gem, giraffe, and judge.

    We will be continuing to work in Module 2 in math, focusing on solving word


    problems with subtraction of 9 from 10. In Writer’s Workshop, we will be writing
    Non-fiction chapter books.

    Homework:
    Monday: Home Reading and Module 2, Lesson 11, p 209 & 210.
    Tuesday: Home Reading and Module 2, Lesson 12, p. 213&214
    Wednesday: Home Reading and Module 2, Lesson 13 p. 218 & 219
    Thursday: Home Reading and Module 2 Lesson 14, p. 221 & 222
    Friday: No homework 

    Important Dates: Volunteer Needed


    Jan 15th – Tony’s Pizzeria – I am looking for another parent to help
    Family Fun Night with our Motor Lab program on
    Every Friday – Spirit Day Wednesdays from 8:20 – 8:50. If you
    Jan. 20th – MLK Jr. Day – No are available to help, please let me
