What We Will Learn:

This week we will begin our work with our new unit’s Essential Question - “Why is
the past important?” Our phonics skill for the week will be long e vowel teams (ea,
ee, ie, ey and e_e). This combination of vowels works as a team to make the long e
sound.

We will be beginning Module 3 in math this week. We will be learning about

measurement, and comparing lengths of objects.

We will be continuing to work with our new unit in Writer’s Workshop, where we will
be writing opinions, and reviews of various things, such as collections, restaurants,
and movies.
