WHY IS THIS MOVIE MY FAVOURITE ?

• Well, to be honest, I love to watch it again & again because, it

gives a message that 'Do what you like, it's life which will be
correcting you when needed. All you need is just to live your life
as freely as you can, even if it seems to be the wrong way of
living'.
I like traveling and not only this but new tradition and culture,
that I find pretty interesting and the people, of course.
• Think you like it because you see yourself as one of those
characters carrying a backpack an moving around the world in
carefree manner. Doing such a trip is everyone's dream and sky
diving and other such sports is one of my those dreams. Honestly,
to plan a good vacation takes a lot of time and effort. There is just
something very exciting about traveling and if it is with friends it
makes more joyful.

LIFE IS EITHER A DARING ADVENTURE OR NOTHING.

REVIEWS/RATINGS
• Three lifelong friends in their thirties decide to take the three-week road trip they always planned when
Kabir (played by Abhay Deol) gets engaged to Natasha (played by Kalki Koechlin). Kabir is the binding
force between his polar-opposite friends:the free-spirited advertising copywriter Imran (played by Farhan
Akhtar), and the uptight Arjun, strait-jacketed by his career. To add excitement, the only rule on this road
trip is that all three friends must try out an adventure sport chosen by each of them.
• Boys will be boys and this film catches that note beautifully. You can be in your thirties, but a few minutes
with your childhood friends takes you right back to being a teenager, playing the same old pranks, and
coping your college professor’s weird accent. You have to love the natural way in which a boil
undercurrent between Arjun and Imran erupts over a silly, childish fight and how they scrap about as if
they were in a schoolyard. Arjun is aggravated by Imran’s annoying, not-serious-for-a-moment attitude,
but underneath his flip manner, Imran is struggling with a secret of his own. The adventure gets
complicated with love when diving instructor Laila (played by Katrina Kaif) enters the equation – she’s a
young Paulo Coelho in her own sexy way, showing Arjun how to appreciate life’s simple pleasures. A
jealous, possessive Natasha also stirs up the pot when she lands up unannounced on the group. She’s the
worst kind of gatecrasher – a fianceé on a bachelor trip.
• There are several scenes in Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara that make you want to pack your bags and gather
your pals. Each adventure sport is shot so thrillingly that you feel alive and in-the-moment, even though
you’re actually watching it all sitting in a dark theatre. Watch that hair-raising skydiving scene – it’s such
an unusual salute to friendship. A real tone is maintained through the dialogues written by Farhan Akhtar;
they have that a casual slice-of-life flavor, and the jokes here are genuinely funny.
ACTORS REVIEW
• What makes Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara that much more enjoyable are the performances.
Katrina Kaif is content to play off the three male leads, yet she brings a charming, lovely touch
to her role. Kalki Koechlin, playing what is essentially a cartoon, keeps her character grounded
in the real; so while you may not particularly like her in the end, you can see why she acts that
way.
• The three male stars have that believable vibe of a long friendship. Abhay Deol brings an
effortless, comfortable energy to Kabir, while Farhan Akhtar is a disclosure. He’s so crazy that
you burst out laughing several times, yet he shows vulnerability just as easily. Hrithik Roshan
once again brings real depth to his character with a spectacular performance. He’s shy and
restrained, then lets go with such fantastic intensity that you make the inward journey with his
character.
• But a objection I have with this film is that it takes too long to reach its destination and gets
sidetracked by a couple of sentimental routes. It stays too long in certain scenarios, and this
sucks some of the fun out of the ride. Yet, I’m going with three-and-a-half out of five for
Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara. It proves that Zoya Akhtar has a unique, compelling voice and unlike
many of her contemporaries, she actually respects that a cinema audience can be both
intelligent and mature.
PRODUCTION REVIEW
• It proves that Zoya Akhtar has a unique, compelling voice and unlike many of

• Zoya Akhtar's Spain journey demands just one thing from you: that you slip into
adventure mode and then go with the flow.... Rest assured, you're in for a merry
ride, with loads of thrills, emotional banter, romance and trust between a host of
characters who seem to be having as much fun as you. Director Zoya Akhtar
follows up Luck By Chance with another sensitive and entertaining study of
people, even as she gives Bollywood it's first full blown contemporary road
movie.
APPLICATION OF THE MOVIE IN OUR LIFE
YOU WILL NEVER GET THE SAME LIFE AGAIN
• The maxim of the movie is that each individual creates meaning of his/her life; we create our life day
after day with our own actions and thoughts. The movie is all about enjoying life and gratifying our
dreams before we realize that we have lost chances to live them. The movie is about living for the
moment, and never delaying doing things that will make us happy. The movie also is about bonding
with friends. Great friendship is spirit of life.
• Life is about moving forward. We cannot keep blaming other people for our failures. Recognize that
life is a journey, not a destination. This saying is a cliché, but it’s also true: life is as much about how
you get where you’re going as where you go. Living your life to the fullest is a process that will take
your whole life to develop. Don’t get frustrated if it takes a little time to learn some things, or if you
experience setbacks. This is a natural part of life.
• When we make friends, we don’t go by their background. These three friends have nothing in common,
they have very contrasting personalities. Despite the differences, they are best of friends who want to
be with each other. The movie shows that when it comes to friendship, family background, education,
status, bank balance has nothing to do, the friendship blossoms despite all of this. All too often, we
spend a lot of time looking at what we don’t like about ourselves, what we’d like to change, we keep
struggling to look different, to stand out. We spend a lot of time focusing on our past and future
knowing jolly well that the present is most important. Katrina explains this to Hrithik.
CONTINUED…
• Your core values are the beliefs that shape who you are. You are more likely to
feel fulfilled and happy when you’re living in harmony with your value. Stand
up for what you believe in and don’t let others push you around. It’s possible to
do this and still be open to other people’s ideas, as they may surprise you.
• The movie portrays how to get over our fears. We limit our lives when fear sets
in. The movie gives a message to dare or die. While we all have some
unreasonable fears and do not want to face them. Our friends play a big role
who can help us to get over them. In this movie the three friends decide on three
adventure sports and dare the other two to do it. And they end up picking scuba
diving, sky diving and Bull Run; all three have some deepest fears, which they
get over with help of each other.
• The movie talks about mindfulness. Learning to be aware of our feelings can
help us live life to the fullest by keeping our focus on what is happening in the
present moment. Mindfulness helps in avoiding judgment of our experiences;
instead, it encourages to accept things just as they are.
