Handling Mechacaps ® HD
• Supplied as an easy to pour slurry – up to 1 ton IBC. It can be delivered using all common types
of pump

• The slurry should be stored under normal conditions (avoid direct sunlight) either in its original
container or in other containers – we recommend HDPE

Handling Mechacaps ® HD

• The slurry can be stored for up to 18 months but if it is used intermittently and/or infrequently
then we recommend transferring to smaller containers

• The slurry might colour (light beige) over time: this is not a problem and performance will not be
affected. The slurry will not discolour the final product

• The slurry has been stabilised. We do not anticipate any significant phase separation but if it
should occur the slurry can be remixed using an Ystral type mixer directly in the container

Technical Specifications
Incorporation into fabric softener

• The slurry has a viscosity of around 0.5 Pa.s at 21 sec-1 and can be delivered by gravity or by
any common type of pump

• Easy incorporation – no specific protocols required. The slurry can be added at any point in
the manufacturing process without need for pre-dilution: we recommend that it is added
during continuous stirring

• Givaudan Technologists are available to help you with any questions about
using Mechacaps® HD in your factory
