BALANCE HAIR BATH
NEUTRALIZING AND CHELATING SHAMPOO
Apply BALANCE HAIR BATH to hair. Shampoo and rinse
thoroughly with warm water. If necessary, repeat (color indicator
will determine whether additional shampoo is needed). Continue
to shampoo and rinse until suds are completely white.
Towel blot and proceed with MICROFUSION PENETRATING
CONDITIONING TREATMENT.

Continue smoothing technique to remaining three quadrants until PHASE THREE

The MIZANI BUTTER BLEND Relaxer System is the next generation in

shea butter, cocoa butter, and honey featuring a penetrating micro-emulsion
for weightless deep conditioning. BUTTER BLEND features dual action

normalizing conditioner to gradually reduce pH and micro-emulsion which

WHAT IS THE PURPOSE OF THE HONEY SHIELD?
Honey Shield Protective Pre-Treatment is a pre-relaxer treatment
with strengthening ceramides created to shield previously relaxed hair
from overlap during relaxer touch-up application. This protectant is an
important step in the pre-treat/protect stage to minimize breakage and
damage associated with chemical over processing. It strengthens hair
while guarding against moisture loss during relaxer services.
WHAT IS DUAL NEUTRALIZATION?
Dual action neutralization begins with the PerpHecting Crème
Normalizing Conditioner applied immediately after rinsing out the
BUTTER BLEND Rhelaxer. Fortified with shea butter and honey, the
conditioner works as a stabilizer to restore optimal pH balance to the hair as
it strengthens and repairs weakened hair bonds with ceramides and
detangles to minimize breakage from combing and styling. The next step in
dual neutralization is the application of the Balance Hair Bath
Neutralizing and Chelating Shampoo - designed to complete the
restoration process.
WHAT DOES COLOR CODING IN THE
NEUTRALIZING SHAMPOO DO?
The pink color indicator is designed to signal remaining relaxer residue.
Once the Balance Hair Bath Neutralizing and Chelating
Shampoo suds appear white, the hair is restored to its natural pH
balance and mineral deposits have been removed. It is now safe to
proceed to the next phase of conditioning.
WHY DO I NEED TO USE THE POST TREATMENT? WHY
DO I RINSE IT OUT?
Microfusion Penetrating Conditioning Treatment deeply penetrates
the hair shaft and infuses with moisturizing micro-droplets of jojoba and
avocado oil to help instantly restore moisture for healthy hair balance and
shine. Because this post treatment contains productive oils and penetrates
deep into the hair shaft, it is recommended to rinse the hair to alleviate any
unproductive oil residue on the top layer of the hair.
WHAT IS MICRO-EMULSION AND ITS BENEFIT?
Micro-emulsions are thermodynamically stable dispersions of at least two
immersible liquids, stabilized by surfactants. The innovative, lightweight,
micro-emulsion in the BUTTER BLEND System uses breakthrough technology
to deeply penetrate and infuse the hair with moisturizing droplets of
jojoba and avocado oil into the hair shaft to help instantly restore moisture

IS IT NECESSARY TO USE ALL OF THE PRODUCTS IN
THE BUTTER BLEND SYSTEM?
The BUTTER BLEND System is designed to perform synergistically for the
most advanced results. This next generation of engineered products
balances actives and conditioners for more efficient straightening, ultimate
shine and healthier looking hair.
CAN I USE THIS SYSTEM WITH A SEMI-PERMANENT HAIR
COLOR SERVICE? WHAT IS THE PROCESS?
BUTTER BLEND is ideal to be used with Semi-Permanent* hair color.
THE PROCESS:
1. Apply Pre-Treatment of the BUTTER BLEND System
(PHASE ONE – Protect and Pre-Treat)
2. Relax with BUTTER BLEND Rhelaxer and rinse thoroughly.
3. Shampoo with Balance Hair Bath Neutralizing and Chelating
Shampoo until suds appear white.
4. Follow Color Manufacturer’s directions for color application.
5. After rinsing Color, apply PerpHecting Crème Normalizing
Conditioner. Rinse thoroughly and apply Microfusion Penetrating
Conditioning Treatment.
* Mizani considers semi-permanent colors as those that do
not require any catalyst of hydrogen peroxide.
CAN I USE THIS SYSTEM WITH PERMANENT COLOR?
It is recommended that you wait 2 weeks after relaxing your client
before applying any permanent color.
