Technique, Step 1:
4 • Pre-lighten to level 10 or desired level with Dual-Purpose Lightener + 20
volume Cream Developer (1).

Processing Time: Process until canvas is even and a level 10 or desired level.
Rinse thoroughly and shampoo with Color Protect® Post Color Shampoo. Blow dry hair.
Technique, Step 2:
• Begin by sectioning a circle shaped section at the crown of the head. Secure with a clip.
• Clip hair up and out of the way in order to work with the hair at the nape. Hand
paint isolated random sections at the nape using either a brush or a sponge with PM
SHINES 1oz. 3RB Chocolate Cherry + 2oz. Processing Liquid (2). Overlay with foil.

• Next, section two crescent shaped sections around the head at or below the
1 occipital. These two crescent shaped sections will form a band. The width of the
crescent shapes will be dependent on the desired end result. In the model shown, the

band is approximately 1” wide.

• Apply PM SHINES 11/2 oz. 6NB Chocoholic + 1/2 oz. 9RB Pink Champagne + 1
shot Color Shots Red + 2oz. Processing Liquid (3) to the crescent shaped section on

• Apply PM SHINES 1oz. 3RB Chocolate Cherry + 1oz. 6RB Nutmeg + 2 shots Color
Shots Red + 2oz. Processing Liquid (4) to the crescent shaped section on the left

• Create two more crescent shaped sections below the crown in the same manner as

wildwoods
2 stated above, alternating the left and right color formulas for contrast.

• Lastly, apply PM SHINES 2oz. 9RB Pink Champagne + 1 shot Color Shots
Red + 2oz. Processing Liquid (5) to the circular section at the crown.

architecture of a bamboo forest. The end result is the beautiful Wildwoods trend, the hot look for
Spring 2007 whose straight lines and medley of colors evoke the elegance of nature.

tonality and dramatic contrast found in some woods. Explore your creative options
with color and contrast – choose a dramatic or subtle contrast depending on the
desired end result.
Processing Time: 20 minutes
• Rinse thoroughly and shampoo with Color Protect® Post Color Shampoo and finish
with Color Protect® Daily Conditioner.
