PROJECT TITLE: Industrial engineering of the workstation for quality

improvement and time reduction.
PROBLEM STATEMENT:
• More time was consumed in the operation of button attach of
waistband.
• Quality issues were coming very frequently for wrong button attach.
• Button attach marking was not done properly by the operator due to
lack of space for marking the place of button.
OBJECTIVE: provide space for easy and accurate marking of button attach

OUTCOMES:
• Time was reduced by 6 seconds in
the whole process of button attach.
• Quality issues and reworks were
reduced.
• Earlier 40 pieces were produced in
one hour, now 45 are produced
every hour.

• IMPLEMENTATION OF 5S
• PROJECT TITLE: IMPLEMENTATION OF 5S of the
workstation for time reduction.
• PROBLEM STATEMENT:
• More time was consumed in searching of panels
• Panels got miss due to poor handling and poor rack
management.
• No proper labeling done of the rack

• OBJECTIVE: labelling of rack and proper management of

panels
• STATUS : For all the trouser lines

• Visual management was not done for order status in any
trouser line.
• Packing WIP in warehouse is not known to other
departments.
• Balance in warehouse is not known to the sewing and
finishing department.
• OBJECTIVE: To make order status board for all the trouser
line.
