then and bullying now and when to recognize it as bullying
2. Discuss the effect of bullying, psychologically, emotionally and
physically
3. To stress how to react to bullying and emphasize how to properly
confront or act in this situation
4. Discuss how can the victims cope emotionally and be able to voice out
their experiences
5. Discuss organizations and support groups involved in helping bullying
victims.
PROJECT PROPONENTS
A. Background of the Project
Bullying has always been a common problem either inside or outside of the
school premises. It has always been rampant ever since, despite actions taken by
organizations or even just a friend. Bullying will always be observed everywhere
we go, most especially in our generation.
We have seen some bullying inside school premises and more on social media.
Recently, leaked scandals and photos are rampant in social media. Mostly
appears on men’s group chats and spreading to the campus and even outside
the campus. Cyberbullying is the number one type of bullying happening now.
People have more strength to bully someone behind their phones and gadgets
than face to face. The problem with cyberbullying, sometimes it can’t be
recognizable until one finds out.
Back to bullying inside school premises, most bullying happens either teaming up
against an individual, gossiping, talking behind their back, or even directly
bullying them. The problem with bullying now is that some people brush it off
and think it’s all a “joke”, but really, it’s just bullying hiding behind a good laugh.
PROJECT PROPONENTS
B. Justification of the Project
A seminar isn’t that much to prepare but we need ears to listen and hearts
to understand that this prepared project can benefit not only the victims but
also those who wants to take a stand and help the victims.
The expected outcomes of this seminar will hopefully share knowledge
about the status of bullying now compared before, how it drastically increased
especially through the use of social media. Another outcome is to reach out
the effects of bullying psychologically and emotionally. Another is to help
victims to cope effectively and avoid negative coping Lastly another outcome
is to elaborate proper ways to react, or help victims of bullying.
The benefits of this seminar will help the victims not only to react or cope,
but also to speak their truths. Sometimes victims tend to silence their selves
because of the fear of getting even more bullied.
