• The joint complex of the wrist is constituted by the distal
union of the forearm bones (cubitus and radius) with the
bones that make up the carpal bone

• The wrist contains 8 bones aligned in two rows and called carpal bones

• The proximal row and the distal row

• There are five bones in the hand known as metacarpals.

• Distal to the metacarpal bones are the phalanges .
