How life began?

Theory of the

Theory of the origin of life

For hundreds of years, that living things

on earth are diverse. The scientists found
that in some creatures also found some
similarities. Many scientists who put
forward various theories accompanied by
evidence supporting the theory.
Theory of the origin of life

from many theories In addition to the two

regarding the origin of theories, the history of
life, there are two main the theory is
theories that are widely explained:
accepted, that is : 1. Abiogenesis
1. the theory of 2. Biogenesis
chemical evolution is the beginning of
2. the theory of human thinking about
biological evolution the origin of life
Biogenesis Theory

Biogenesis theory assumes that living things

come from living things that already existed
before. three famous figures supporting this
theory, that is :
1. Francesco Redy
2. Lazzaro Spallanzani
3. Louis Pasteur
Redy’s Experiment

Redy experimented with a piece of meat placed in two pumpkins.

The trick is as follows. First of all, provide two jars, while the meat
is sterilized by boiling it in boiling water. The pieces of meat are
put into the first and second jars, then the first one is left open,
while the other jars are tightly closed. After a few days it appeared
that the first jar appeared maggots, while the second jar did not.

Redy concluded that the maggots that arose came from

the eggs of the flying flies
Spallanzani’s Experiment

First he prepared three pumpkins filled with broth. Next the

pumpkins filled with the broth are treated as follows:
1. the first pumpkin is tightly closed without heating,
2. the second pumpkin is heated to boiling then left open,
3. The third pumpkin is heated to boiling then closed tightly.
Spallanzani’s Experiment

After a few days it turns out that life arises in the first
and second tubes, while in the third cylinder which is
tightly closed and heated does not occur life. He
explained that in the broth water there were
microorganisms that came from the air. When heating
all microorganisms die, but if they are open they will be
contaminated by microorganisms again from the air,
otherwise if closed they will be free of microorganisms.
Pasteur’s Experiment
Pasteur’s Experiment

Experiment flask is filled with

broth, then heated until it boils.
After that the pumpkin is closed
with a S-shaped pipe cap.
Pasteur concluded
that life originated
from another life,
which later became
famous with the
slogan "omne vivum
ex vivo".
