THERE ARE SOME THINGS THAT WE MUST
FIRST DISCUSS ABOUT THE POSITIVE AND
NEGATIVE IMPACT OF THE EXISTENCE OF THE
CANTEENS :
POSITIVE IMPACT

1. When students do not have time for breakfast at home, the canteen
becomes a suitable place for breakfast or lunch.
2. More varied foods or more food choices.
3. Relatively cheaper food prices.
4. Being an economic resource for caregivers and parents who leave their
food.
5. A place that becomes a means of student social interaction.
6. Being one of the student discussion places.
NEGATIVE IMPACT

1. wasting money
2. Decreased appetite
3. Food that is not hygienic will cause various diseases.
4. Malnutrition because snacks are not guaranteed in the canteen.
5. Being one of the places students skip class (not entering class)
SCHOOL CANTEENS PROMOTE POOR DIET !?
yes, I totally agree about it like some of the things we have explained above and
also some facts that we felt in high school. it is quite clear that the canteen is
indeed not very good and there are many foods that do not meet health
requirements. It is different if we see canteens abroad or some elite schools,
because in certain schools such as elite schools there may already be
regulations or supervision regarding food in the cafeteria. another thing is in
many schools in Indonesia that is inversely proportional to it.

I disagree mam because to my knowledge not all canteens provide unhealthy
food .there is also name called “Healthy Canteen”where healthy canteen is a
means and supporting infrastructure and it’s management put forward the
fulfillment of nutrion according to health standars the canteen can provide
healthy nutritious food and drinks, hygienic processing and good sanitation.
