Do you think that students’ concerns are being addressed?

• Survey was thorough.

• All the details which are of most value to students were covered.

• Email id is provided to raise any further aspects, if not covered.

What are your feelings towards responding to such kind of
questionnaire?

• MERITS
Survey is thorough
Provides simple but useful insights into what students value most ( e.g. apartment size secondary as
compared to location and price).

• DEMERITS
Some questions were hard to answer (trade off questions in section F)
It is not open ended and fails to create a space where consumers could voice their aspirations.
Do you get insights which otherwise are not possible?

• Survey focuses on straight-forward data that are reliable even though they are self-reported.

• Very large number of responses.

• Replicable over the years for monitoring.

What are the areas of improvement, if any?

• More secondary data sources should be involved such as:

Past research performed on student housing, internal and external data sources.
External research performed on competing schools housing.
External articles that have focused on student opinions of student housing, and specifically students.
• In section E, instead of asking too many questions, they could just include a single question i.e.
whether they are pursuing masters or doctorate.
THANK YOU
