WHY THIS MACHINE REQUIRED ?

• The 65% of population of the country is related to farming activity but at the
same time labor cost in the farming activity not only increased but cost of grain
production is also increased.
• So mechanization of farming activity is necessary.
• The major labor work is relating to cutting of crop, grass, wheat etc. and so the
objective of present work is to develop such crop cutting machine which is trolley
type to cut the crop.
• The primary objective is to design and manufacture a machine to reduce the
human efforts, time and cost.
• It will serve to farming organization and single farmer to make the cutting process
in quiet easy and economic manner.
Classical method
WORKING PRINCIPLE

• A DC motor provides necessary motion to the Scotch-yoke mechanism which is

powered by 18amh battery to cut the crop with the help of blade.
• We have also provided lead screw by means of which we can adjust the height of
cutting mechanism.
• To drive the whole assembly is mounted on C-frame on which wheels are
mounted.
• To carry the crops which have been cut, we have provided conveyor mechanism
which helps to collect the crops in collector.
• Impact of Manual Mechanized Crop Cutting Machine on Agriculture

• The interest of people towards the agriculture increases

• Its use compensates the crises of workers in villages up to maximum extant.

• The manual mechanized crop cutting machine will be proving as effective

machine contributes to decrease in greenhouse gases in the environment.

• The machine is one time investment for the farmers because it’s running and
maintenance cost is negligible.

• The machine is sustainable because it is made up by the combination of some

simple set of mechanisms.
Advantages of machine harvesting
(in compare to Classical Method)

• Manual Harvesting time will be less

• Efficient work is done by using machine harvester

• Limited number of labors are required

• Cost of harvesting is comparably less as manual harvesting.

• Disadvantages of manual harvesting
(in compare to automated Harvester)

• Harvesting time will be more

• Efficient work is not done

• Storage is not available and more efforts is required to collect final grain.
