TOPIC:
TO ANALYZE THE PASSIVE TECHNIQUES USED IN
INSTITUTIONAL BUILDINGS FOR INDOOR THERMAL
COMFORT
INTRODUCTION:
The passive techniques plays a very important role in
maintaining the indoor thermal comfort of buildings,to
minimize the use of energy for cooling and greatly boost
thermal comfort and embroider passive architecture, It is
most important to achieve thermal comfort through
natural means or energy efficient means
Case study table:
AIM: To analyze the passive techniques used in
institutional buildings for indoor thermal comfort and
then recommendations for future.
OBJECTIVE:
• To know the passive techniques used in institutional
buildings in hot & dry climate.
• To analyse the passive techniques used in institutional
building.
• To find out recommendations for future
METHODOLOGY:
To fulfil the above aim, we must know the following
methods that are going to be followed-
• Literature study of passive techniques used in
institutional buildings of hot & dry climate, three from
India and three from foreign.
• To analyse the passive techniques and their effect on
indoor thermal comfort.
• To give recommendations for future institutional
buildings in India.
OBJECTIVE:
• To know the passive techniques used in institutional
buildings in hot & dry climate.
• To analyse the passive techniques used in institutional
building.
• To find out recommendations for future
KEYWORDS
• Thermal comfort: it is condition of mind that expresses
satisfaction with the thermal environment and is
assessed by subjective evaluation.
• Passive techniques: These techniques are used to
maximise thermal comfort and minimise the energy
consumption without external device or mechanical
means.
