Pengertian Conditional Sentence

Kalimat pengandaian(terdiri atas dua bagian)

Ex:
If I have been at home, I will stay at home.
I will say “Hello” to you If I meet you.
Jenis – Jenis Conditional
Sentences
• 1. Zero Conditional (Conditional Sentences type 0)
• 2. Conditional Sentence Type I
• 3. Conditional Sentence Type 2
• 4. Conditional Sentence Type 3
1. Zero Conditional (Conditional Sentences type 0)

• selalu terwujud karena kebenaran pada ilmiah

( scientific fact) atau kebenaran umum (general
truth) yang merupakan suatu kebiasaan ( habitual
action)
EX:
• If it is morning, The sun rises from the East
• If it is raining, It is wet.
 2. Conditional Sentence Type I
kemungkinan besar sesuatu yang dapat diandaikan dapat terjadi.

Contoh Kalimat Conditional Sentence Type 1

• She will arrive here on time if she ride her bike in hurry.
• If they don’t come to my birthday party, I will send them a message.
• She will have much money if she work hard.
• Andre will go on to school on time if he wake up early.
• Ivan will be the winner if he finish the race at the front.
3. Conditional Sentence Type 2
Dalam pengandaian ini juga mengacu pada keadaan sekarang (Present). Sebuah
kegiatan yang akan terjadi jika keadaan dimasa sekarang (present) berbeda.

Contoh Kalimat Conditional Sentence Type 2

• If I were a bird, I would fly to the mount everest

• You would not be here, If she did not help you.
• We would not win the game, if we didn’t work together as a team.
• My mother would not worry, if I went with you.
• If I were a superman, I would safe you everyday.
 4. Conditional Sentence Type 3
pengandaian itu dilakukan dimasa lalu dan juga tidak akan terjadi lagi pada
waktu itu.

• If I had had much money, I would have bought a new

house in jakarta.
• She would have graduated from university if she had
finished final exam.
• If John had driven his car carefully, we would not have
got an accident.
• If had been a big boss, I would have a new office in new
York.
• My father would have been here, if the flight had not
been canceled.
