What is it
The sunflower oil is a vegetable oil that is extracted from the pressing of
the seeds of the chapter plant sunflower
Properties

Antioxidant
Its high content of vitamin E protects the
body against free radicals, while also
helping to prevent cancer and other
degenerative diseases.
Prevents cardiovascular diseases

Sunflower oil contains polyunsaturated fatty acids, among


which linoleic acid (omega 6), which helps reduce cholesterol
and triglycerides in the blood. In addition, these substances
are not produced by the body and must be acquired through
the diet.
USES
● Culinary use:
It is used for frying since it resists the process of saturation of
the oil at temperatures up to 108º C.
Most edible oil since it is a seed oil.
● Industrial use:
it is used to make soap, candles, varnish or paint as well as an
excellent lubricant.

other severe complications.
● Excessive consumption of this type of oil can
cause obesity, joint pain and diabetes.
