WHAT IS AN SOC?
We can consider an SoC to be any relatively high-powered
integrated computing system in a single package.
Components of an soc
1.Cpu
2.Gpu
3.Isp
4.Radio and modem
5.Memory controller
6.Audio and video chip
WHAT IS A CPU?
• CPU, or Central Processing Unit. This is the “brain” of your
smartphone or
• - a bunch of specialized brains working together.
• The CPU receives commands, makes instant calculations, and
sends signals throughout your device.
• The vast majority of CPUs are designed around a blueprint from a
company called ARM.
• it is the most widely used 32-bit instruction set architecture.
WHAT’S A CORE?
• It’s an element found in the main Processor that reads and executes
instructions.
• Devices began with a single-core processor.
• Led to dual-core, quad-core processors devices
• Now there are hexa- (six) and octa-core (eight) smartphones and tablets.
Architecture
1. 32bit
2. 64bit
