Our response:

The author says that “Raj’s answers rushed out like water
from a faucet” because he completed the math problems
very fast. In paragraph 9, it says that Raj’s heart was
beating very fast. In paragraph 8, the author writes all of
the math questions that Raj completes. To conclude, the
author says this because Raj complete the math questions
very fast.
