The students will then watch a video on how to count by 2s,5s


& 10s. Then I will put a cup of cubes in front of each student.
We will start with learning how to count by 2s. I will tell the
students to first take two cubes out & then each time I say the
word “GRAB” they will grab two more from the cup. After each
time they grab 2 more, I will have them count their total cubes.
We will do this for 4 minutes. Then I will then split the students
up in pairs & I will tell each group how they will be counting.
The task will be to get a colored pencil or marker and using one
number chart each group will either must mark the chart
counting by 2s, 5s, or 10s using a specific color. I will set a timer
for 3 minutes and after the timer goes off, I will hand the pair a
new number table and have them switch from the initial way
of counting and mark another way. For the next activity, the
students will be counting in 2s, 5s & 10s but this time using the
white board and the objects being frogs. This activity will be
using the white board in the classroom. The students will be
taking turns coming to the board as a pair to click and drag the
frog to the appropriate lily pad.
