Laboratory Oven
• Laboratory ovens are standard equipment found in most research, clinical and forensic laboratories. Ovens are
available in gravity (natural), mechanical (forced) convection, and vacuum
pump for routine heating and drying applications.
For labs with temperature uniformity, stability and
accuracy requirements, advanced protocol ovens
are available to meet demanding requirements. Convection
ovens are used for application such as drying, baking,
sterilizing, pre-heating, and, incubation. Forced convection
ovens use a fan to circulate air around the inside of the
chamber. Natural convection relies on temperature differences
within the oven, to transfer heat to samples. Vacuum drying ovens
introduce dry air into the chamber within a short time, which absorbs humidity and is immediately extracted by the
vacuum pump.
Vacuum drying ovens are used for delicate drying processes. When
choosing an oven, consider applications, dimension, capacity and lab budget.
Look for features that guarantee maximum sample and user protection.

• The ACONS Pro Motorised Automatic Consolidation System using a stepper motor to generate
Force instead of compressed air. It has a small footprint with up to 3 input channels (2 x Analogue
& 1 x Digital) and USB or Ethernet Interface for computer control
• The ACONS Pro Motorised Automatic CRS System uses a Multi-Purpose Frame with a stepper
motor to generate Force for Constant Rate of Strain (CRS) testing. Back Pressure is provided by a
Pro Single Automatic Pressure Controller and Pore Water Pressure is measured with a Pressure
transducer.
• The pneumatic Automated Oedometer Consolidation Testing System using compressed air for
performing the Oedometer test
• The manual oedometer consolidation dead weight system which can be semi-automated using a
data logger to record the readings
• The Rowe Cell Testing System which utilises a hydraulic APC to apply vertical load to the sample
with applied loads over a wide range, including high pressures on large diameter samples
• The Pro SD - SWCC System determines both drying and wetting SWCCs using the Multi-Purpose
Cell in a Multi-Purpose Frame with a heater and temperature sensor with a separate
temperature controller. Suction is generated using a Pro Pneumatic APC at the top and a Pro
Hydraulic APC at the base, thus applying the axis-translation technique.
Direct Shear Testing Apparatus
• The Direct Shear test is carried out with an apparatus consisting of a square
divided into two halves. The specimen, contained in the box, is subjected to a
constant normal load while an increasing horizontal force is applied to one of the
sections of the shear box. This force causes a shear failure along the junction
between the box sections. The shear force and the normal load are measured
directly. The rate of strain is adjusted by the speed of the horizontal force
applied. The loading unit has V-strips on which the shear box housing rests.
Suitable for specimens of size 60x60x25mm. The precalibrated load yoke helps
counter balance the loading system. The load yoke with direct and through lever
system for applying normal load upto 3 kg/cm2 capacity, fixtures for proving ring,
brackets for holding consolidation and strain dial gauges are provided. The lead
screw connected to the shear box housing helps application of shear stress.
Triaxial Compression Test
•Apparatus
There are several variations of Triaxial Testing and our renowned Clisp
Studio software modules are designed to allow automation of testing,
minimizing the time that the operator is required to be present. This is a
massive plus for consolidated triaxial tests, which can take a considerable
amount of time.
