What is classroom management ? Classroom management is a term teachers use to describe the process of ensuring that classroom lessons run smoothly without disruptive behavior from students compromising the delivery of instruction. Classroom management style there are so many styles teachers prefer to manage their classroom. We have four styles to manage student behavior. I. AUTHORITARIAN II. AUTHORITATIVE III. PERMISSIVE IV. INDULGENT AUTHORITARIAN Direct instruction. The students remains quite in the classroom. Theclassroom rules are strictly enforcement. Theteacher likes to see their students sit in assigned seats. Students in authoritarian classroom may have weaker social skills and less initiative. Authoritative Authoritative teachers are both firm but also fair to their students. Teacher encourage the students to have discussion. This teacher give their positive feedback to their students. These teacher consider the consequence of their action. Studentsin authoritative classroom have freedom to ask question. Students in these classroom tend to be social an responsible. Permissive The permissive teacher don’t really care about their students , lesson plans and their teaching career. Studentsdo whatever they want in the classroom. Permissive teachers often show movies during class time. Know nothing about their students. Indulgent The indulgent teacher takes their career very seriously. The indulgent style of classroom management believes in a student empowered learning model. The indulgent teachers build a strong relationship with their students. Theyare not strict enough to students behavior. How to manage your classroom?
