and plants.

HYDROSPHERE – “water sphere”
- it is the water part of the earth.
- covers three-fourths of the earth’s
surface. This is why the earth is called
the “blue planet.”
WATER CYCLE –
the continuous movement of
water in the earth’s surface.
Fun Facts:
• 97% of the water found in our surrounding is
salty.
• 3% of this water is fresh or potable.
• From this 3% - 67% (2%) of it is locked in the form
of ice (iceberg and glaciers) mainly found in
Greenland and Antartic.
• Only 1% of fresh water is found in rivers, lakes,
ponds, and in the atmosphere in the form of
water vapor.
