What is GOOGLE?

• Google Search, is a web search engine owned by

Google Inc. It is the most-used search engine on the
World Wide Web

• The google was named BackRub when it Was

founded.
 INTRODUCTION
• The name then changed to google.

• The name "Google" originated from a misspelling of

"googol" which refers to the number represented by a 1
followed by one-hundred zeros.

• Google began in January 1996
and founded in sep 1996 as a

Google Chrome (commonly known
simply as chrome) is a freeware web
browser developed by Google
limited liability company
(LLC).Google released chrome in
2008 and issues several updates a
year. It is available for windows,
MacOS Linux, Android and ios
operating system.

 INTRODUCTION

Google photo is a photo sharing and storage

service developed by Google.
It was announced in 28 may 2015 and spun out
from Google+, the company’s social network.
 HISTORY OF GOOGLE PHOTO
On February 12, 2016 Google announced that
the Picasa desktop application would be
discontinued on March 15, 2016 followed by the
closer of the Picasa web albums service on May
1,2016. Google stated that the primary reason
for retiring Picasa was that it wanted to focus its
efforts “entirely on a single photo service”; the
cross platform web based Google photos.
• Google paly music is a music and podcast
streaming services and online music locker
operated by google.
• The service was announced on May 10, 2011, and
after a six month, invitation-only beta period, it
was publicly launched on November 16, 2011.
• Users with standard accounts can upload and
listen to up to 50,000 songs from their personal
libraries at no cost.

resolution of 1280*720 pixels
• Google added a 4k ultra HD video option for select
titles in december 2016.
• The Google assistant is an artificial intelligence-
powered virtual assistant developed by Google
that is primarily available on mobile and smart
home device. Unlike the company’s previous
virtual assistant, Google Now, the Google
assistant can engage in two-way conversations.

•The Google assistant was unveiled during
google’s developer conference on may 18,
2016, as part of the unveiling of the google
home smart speaker and new messaging app.
•Google CEO SUNDER PICHAI explained that the
assistant was designed to be a conversational
and two way experience, and an ambient
experience that extend across devices.
 What is Youtube?
 YOUTube is a video sharing website where
users can upload,view and share video clips
as well as can download the videos as offline.
 Youtube is an application which anyone can
download on their Android,iphones or pc.

 Introduction of Gmail
Gmail was started by Google developer PAUL
BUCHHEIT who had already explored the idea of web –
based email in the 1990s,before the launch of hotmail.
BUCHHEIT began his work on gmail in August
2001.
He created the first version of Gmail in one day,
reusing the code from Google groups.
The project was known by code name Caribou.
Gmail was announced to the public by Google on 1
April ,2004.
 What is Gmail ?
Gmail is a free ,advertising supported email
service developed by Google .
Users can access gmail on the web and using
third party programs that synchronize Email
content through POP and IMAP .
It ended its testing phase on July 7,2009.
