Linguistic Intelligence
According to Howard Gardner’s the Linguistic Intelligence is
the capacity to use words effectively, whether orally or in writing. This
intelligence is related to language learning and development of syntax
or structure of language, the phonology or sounds of language, the
semantics or meanings of language, and the pragmatic dimensions or
practical uses of language.

Mathematical Intelligence
(“Number/Reasoning smart”)
According to Howard Gardner’s the Mathematical Intelligence is the capacity to
use numbers effectively and to reason well. This intelligence is related to
language learning since acquire a familiarity with the vocabulary and structures
used and also sensitivity to logical patterns and relationships, statements and
propositions, functions, and other related abstractions.

Musical Intelligence

According to Howard Gardner’s Musical Intelligence is the capacity to
perceive, discriminate, transform, and express musical forms. This intelligence
is related to language learning and development of language skills such as
reading, speaking, writing and listening and also sensitivity to the rhythm,
pitch or melody, and timbre or tone color of a musical piece.

Visual Intelligence

According to Howard Gardner’s Visual Intelligence is the ability to perceive
the visual world accurately and to perform transformations upon those
perceptions. This intelligence is related to language learning with the
description of people, animals or objects and also involves sensitivity to
color, line, shape, form, space, and the relationships that exist between
these elements.

According to Howard Gardner’s the Kinesthetic Intelligence is the Expertise in using one’s
whole body to express ideas and feelings and facility in using one’s hands to produce or
transform things. This intelligence is related to language learning and development of
language skills such as reading, speaking and listening and specific physical skills such as
coordination, balance, dexterity, strength, flexibility, and speed.

distinctions in the moods, intentions, motivations, and feelings of other people. This can
include sensitivity to facial expressions, voice, and gestures. This intelligence is related to
language learning in the use of speaking skills to communicate and express feelings and
emotions.

Intra-personal Intelligence
According to Howard Gardner’s, the Intra-personal Intelligence is Self-knowledge and
the ability to act adaptively on the basis of that knowledge. This intelligence includes
having an accurate picture of oneself; awareness of inner moods, intentions,
motivations, temperaments, and desires; and the capacity for self-discipline, self-
understanding, and self-esteem. This intelligence is related to language learning
because the students to know himself and hence apply this knowledge to develop
learning strategies based on their strong points.
