Following are the requirements for fire protection system as per NBC 2016, part-IV for
Residential occupancy building (A-4 category) with height above 45.00mt but not
exceeding 60.00 mt. : (Each tower shall consist of following fire safety measures)
Note: One sump along with a set of pumps shall be provided for each 100 hydrants or
part thereof with a maximum number of two pump sets.
since the number of hydrants are exceeding 100 no’s, 2 sumps along with 2 sets of
pumps are required and to be considered for all the blocks.
