DESIGN Mechanical Ventilation System

 DESIGN CRITERIA :

Location : MYSORE
Altitude : 767 MTS

AMBIENT DESIGN CONDITIONS :

Indoor Design Conditions : 23 ± 1 ºc , RH : Less than 60%.
Fresh Air : 7.5CFM/person+0.12cfm/ sqft (or) 1 ACPH
(Whichever is higher)
• Lighting : 0.8(W/SQFT)
• Occupancy : 15sqft/person
 Conventional (Direct Expansion) Type of Air Conditioning System:

 RETAIL AREA , SRT ,UPS, SERVER, GRN & AUDIT ROOM ROOM are
planned with DX-System

 The indoor units for RETAIL AREA is planned with DX AHU, rest of
locations are planned with Hi-wall units

ACMV SYSTEM  RETAIL AREA are calculated with a Air conditioning capacity of 320Tons.

DESCRIPTION  Each AHU are planned with DX ODU with 11.0TR capacity ODU 5 Nos,
considering easy service & maintenance. Also there shall be a flexibility
DX OPTION in case of breakdown.
 Conventional (Direct Expansion) Type of Air Conditioning System:

 The outdoor units for RETAIL AREA shall be located at terrace floor
level / for rest of units shall be ceiling supported level based on the
Architectural/Client confirmed locations.

 Each Indoor unit is connected to the respective dedicated Out Door Unit
with copper refrigerant piping (i.e. Liquid and Gas Pipe).
ACMV SYSTEM  Each Indoor unit drain pipe is connected to nearest drain point which

DX OPTION  Fresh air for RETAIL AREA AHU’s are planned with louver openings in
AHU room walls .

  FACILITIES PROVIDED WITH MECH. VENTILATION SYSTEM:

 GODOWN EXHAUST SYSTEM ARE PLANNED WITH PROPELLER FANS & FRESH AIR
WITH LOUVER OPENING .

 TOILETS EXHAUST ARE PLANNED WITH CABINET FANS & FRESH AIR WIH DOOR
LOUVER .
(Note: Toilets shall be maintained negative pressure to prevent spreading of
foul smell / air.)

Mechanical  FOR STP EXHAUST IS PLANNED WITH CABINET FAN & FRESH AIR WITH DOOR GRILL .

Ventilation  FOR FIRE PUMP ROOM, EXHAUST & FRESH ARE PLANNED WITH CABINET FANS .

 FOR ELECTRICAL ROOM ,EXHAUST IS PLANNED WITH PROPELLER FANS & FRESH AIR
System WITH DOOR GRILL .
