Astringent Taste-The astringent taste is a flavor of dryness that is

generally produced by tannins in the bark, leaves and outer rinds of

fruits and trees. It causes the mucus membranes in the mouth to
contract and results in an immediate dry, chalky (sometimes even
choking) sensation in the mouth.

Indigenous fruits- Those which are native to Africa, where they

have originated and evolved over centuries. These are different to
exotic fruits, such as citrus and even mango, which have been
imported from other continents, although they may now be quite
commonly grown in many areas.

Latex-milky fluid found in many plants, such as poppies and

spurges, which exudes when the plant is cut and coagulates on
exposure to the air. The latex of the rubber tree is the chief source
of natural rubber.
Perishable Fruit-Fresh fruits and vegetables are extremely
perishable and have a relatively short shelf life. They are a living and
respiring product that also senescence and dye after harvest.
Freshly harvested fruits and vegetables are mostly comprised of
water with most having 90-95% moisture content.
Production- The action of making or manufacturing from
components or raw materials, or the process of being so
manufactured.

Propagated-To cause (an organism) to multiply by any process of

natural reproduction from the parent stock.
