What The Meaning Of Language and Culture?

Language is the product of the culture of an active


society. Indonesian language is the official nasional
language in indonesia. And english widely spoken in
tourists areas.

Culture is something that need to follow, because it


has many good values.
Function of Language and Culture

Language:
1. Language is the primary vehicle of communication
2. Language reflects personality culture
3. Language make the growth transmissions of culture

Culture:
1. Creating differences between country, organization and another
2. Control human behavior
3. Guidelines for relations between people or groups
Example Of Language And Culture

• Indonesia has a variety of traditional languages that reflect their respective


cultures. Example.
Suku Batak : Famous for its slightly loud accent. This indicates that the Suku
Batak will be strict. Meanwhile, Suku Jawa more softly.

reflects that the Batak tribe will be strict.and every tribe in Indonesia has
their own customs such as traditional ceremonies. For example the Suku
Jawa, in the wedding procession the man stepped on the egg and the woman
cleaned his feet.

3. Masinambouw mentioned that language and culture are two systems that are
inherent in humans. If culture is a system that regulates human interaction in
society, then language is a system that functions as a means for the interaction
to take place etc.
