 Overview
The eGallery is a web based application intended for online retailers.
The main objective of this application is to make it interactive and its
ease of use. It would make searching, viewing and selection of a product
easier. It contains a sophisticated search engine for user's to search for
products specific to their needs.

The search engine provides an easy and convenient way to search for
products where a user can Search for a product interactively and the
search engine would refine the products available based on the user’s
input. The user can then view the complete specification of each
product. They can also view the product reviews and also write their own
reviews. The application also provides a drag and drop feature so that a
user can add a product to the shopping cart by dragging the item in to the
shopping cart.
 Current System
The system which is referred for the purpose of
understanding the working of the project is current system.
While developing a system, we referred to direct user
interaction instead of checking a current system.
We are considering only the user requirements & taking only
the inputs given by the user. So, this system is user oriented.

The system we have is eGallery i.e. Online Gift gallery

which handles all the activities takes place online
in this gallery .
 Limitations Of Current System
The present system has the following limitations:-

• Handling Records i.e. there are many records in the

system, thus any error in one of the records may lead
to number of errors in all records or in the system.

• Generating Reports i.e. generating reports manually is

very time-consuming & tedious job. As it generates lot
of records are to be scanned & a large amount of
calculations is to be done & any errormay lead to an
incorrect report. Moreover reports cannot be generated
when required as it is a tedious & time-consuming job .
 Proposed System

Customer

•There is separate login for customers.

•Using this service/website customer can
view,
shop/buy products.
•The unregistered customers can only be able
to check or fetch the details of the products
& register with the site.
•The customers can only be able to cancel
the order provided that the product is not
dispatched from the dealer’s premises.
Admin

•There is separate login for admin.

•Admin alone can manage the details
of the products, employees & as well
as he/she can check the details of the
orders, stock details, feedbacks &
FAQ’s from the customers.
•Admin alone can create the logins for
employees .
Employees

•There is separate login for

employees.
•The employee will only be able
to change his/her password &
check & update the details of the
orders & the delivery reports.
 Features:-
•The application is automated, so that the details like no. of products,
dispatched details, payment details & the delivery details can be attained
at an ease.

•The search engine provides an easy and convenient way to search for
products where a user can Search for a product interactively and the
search engine would refine the products available based on the user’s
input.

•The application also provides a drag and drop feature so that a user can
add a product to the shopping cart by dragging the item in to the
shopping cart.

•With the help of the database, the details of the products, employees,
orders, delivery, dispatching details & as well as that of the customers
are maintained.
