Executive Summary
RADWIN 5000 vs. Ubiquiti Rocket M & Rocket M-GPS Series
 RADWIN 5000 is the only solution among the two that applicable for
corporate/SME market due to the following reasons:
» RADWIN 5000 guarantees SLA (Up link and downlink BW) per user, while Ubiquiti
solutions can’t ensure by any means the user capacity.
» RADWIN 5000 guarantees the performance of any type of service (including Voice &
video ) using enhanced QoS mechanism. Ubiquiti QoS doesn’t guarantee traffic delay
and is based on TOS classifier only, rather than VLAN 802.1p that required in
enterprise communication.
» RADWIN 5000 delivers stable capacity in the following scenarios, where Ubiquiti
solutions can not:
 NLOS (Non Line of Sight) , nLOS and congested spectrum. (these scenarios degrade the
Ubiquiti solution performance dramatically)
 Traffic with short packets (voice and video) – RADWIN BS’s Packet Per Second capability
is by far (10 to 20 times) bigger than that of Ubiquiti APs.

Executive Summary (Cont.)
RADWIN 5000 vs. Ubiquiti Rocket M & Rocket M-GPS Series
» RADWIN 5000 delivers by far more capacity per tower and per network due to its TDD
synchronization capability.
» RADWIN 5000 delivers constant capacity per base station (regardless the number of
end-points), unlike Ubiquiti capacity which dramatically reduced when the number of
end points is increased.
» RADWIN 5000 enables much grater spectrum efficiency due to the frequency
separation required between Ubiquiti co-located Radios.

 In addition RADWIN 5000 provides the following advantages over Ubiquiti:

» Greater immunity to harsh environment (IP67 enclosure, wider temperature range)
» Fixed and smaller latency
» VLAN mapping, support of QinQ

» Wider frequency band supported both in 5.x and 3.x

Executive Summary (Cont.)
RADWIN 5000 vs. Ubiquiti Rocket M & Rocket M-GPS Series
 RADWIN 5000 Operational advantages over Ubiquiti:
» Supporting small to large networks, RADWIN 5000 is the only one to
provide:
 Radio planning tool (R-Planner) ensuring coverage and capacity performance
as planned.
 Advance network management that supports 1000x managed elements and
enables Alarm monitoring and performance monitoring on top of
configuration capabilities.

» 24/7 professional service, on site support and help desk, ensuring zero
service down time. No such service is provided by Ubiquiti.

 RADWIN 5000 ensures efficient utilization of BW resources
Rocket M (with no GPS) capacity is reduced sharply with the number of CPEs
