Who is Jesus in your

life?
How do you value Jesus
in your life?

The value of Jesus in

our lives depends on the
depth of our knowledge
of him.
1 JOHN 1:1-2
That which was from the
beginning, which we have
heard, which we have seen
with our eyes, which we have
looked at and our hands have
touched — this we proclaim
concerning the Word of life.
2 The life appeared; we have
seen it and testify to it, and
we proclaim to you the
eternal life, which was with
the Father and has appeared
to us. NIV
Simon Peter
MARK 1:16-18
6 And as He walked by the
Sea of Galilee, He saw Simon
and Andrew his brother
casting a net into the sea; for
they were fishermen.
17 Then Jesus said to them,
"Follow Me, and I will make
you become fishers of men."
18 They immediately left
their nets and followed Him.

MATTHEW 16:13-18
3 When Jesus came into
the region of Caesarea
Philippi, He asked His
disciples, saying, "Who do
men say that I, the Son of
Man, am?"
14 So they said,"Some say
John the Baptist, some
Elijah, and others Jeremiah
or one of the prophets."
15 He said to them, "But who do
you say that I am?"
16 Simon Peter answered and
said,"You are the Christ, the Son
of the living God."
17 Jesus answered and said to
him, "Blessed are you, Simon
Bar-Jonah, for flesh and blood
has not revealed this to you, but
My Father who is in heaven.
18 And I also say to you that you
are Peter, and on this rock I will
build My church, and the gates of
Hades shall not prevail against it.
NKJV
MATTHEW 26:31-35
31 On the way, Jesus told them,
"Tonight all of you will desert me. For
the Scriptures say, 'God will strike the
Shepherd, and the sheep of the flock
will be scattered.' 32 But after I have
been raised from the dead, I will go
ahead of you to Galilee and meet you
there." 33 Peter declared, "Even if
everyone else deserts you, I will never
desert you."34 Jesus replied, "I tell you
the truth, Peter—this very night, before
the rooster crows, you will deny three
times that you even know me." 35
"No!" Peter insisted. "Even if I have to
die with you, I will never deny you!"
And all the other disciples vowed the
same. NLT

MARK 1:18-19
18 They immediately left
their nets and followed Him.
19 When He had gone a little
farther from there, He saw
James the son of Zebedee,
and John his brother, who
also were in the boat
mending their nets. NKJV

disciples, whom Jesus
loved. NKJV

JOHN 19:25-26
25 Now there stood by the
cross of Jesus His mother,
and His mother's sister,
Mary the wife of Clopas,
and Mary Magdalene.
26 When Jesus therefore
saw His mother, and the
disciple whom He loved
standing by, He said to His
mother, "Woman, behold
your son!“ NKJV
JOHN 20:2
2 Then she ran and came
to Simon Peter, and to
the other disciple, whom
Jesus loved, and said to
them, "They have taken
away the Lord out of the
tomb, and we do not
know where they have
laid Him." NKJV
LUKE 5:8-11
8 When Simon Peter saw this, he
fell at Jesus' knees and said, "Go
away from me, Lord; I am a
sinful man!"
9 For he and all his companions
were astonished at the catch of
fish they had taken,
10 and so were James and John,
the sons of Zebedee, Simon's
partners. Then Jesus said to
Simon, "Don't be afraid; from
now on you will catch men."
11 So they pulled their boats up
on shore, left everything and
followed him. NIV
JOHN 21:1-19
1 After these things Jesus showed
Himself again to the disciples at the Sea
of Tiberias, and in this way He showed
Himself: 2 Simon Peter, Thomas called
the Twin, Nathanael of Cana in Galilee,
the sons of Zebedee, and two others of
His disciples were together. 3 Simon
Peter said to them, "I am going fishing."
They said to him, "We are going with
you also." They went out and
immediately got into the boat, and that
night they caught nothing. 4 But when
the morning had now come, Jesus stood
on the shore; yet the disciples did not know
that it was Jesus.
5 Then Jesus said to them, "Children, have
you any food?" They answered Him, "No."
6 And He said to them, "Cast the net on
the right side of the boat, and you will find
some." So they cast, and now they were
not able to draw it in because of the
multitude of fish. 7 Therefore that disciple
whom Jesus loved said to Peter, "It is
the Lord!" Now when Simon Peter
heard that it was the Lord, he put on his
outer garment (for he had removed it), and
plunged into the sea. 8 But the other
disciples came in the little boat (for they
were not far from land, but about two
hundred cubits), dragging the net with fish.
9 Then, as soon as they had come
to land, they saw a fire of coals
there, and fish laid on it, and bread.
10 Jesus said to them, "Bring some
of the fish which you have just
caught." 11 Simon Peter went up
and dragged the net to land, full of
large fish, one hundred and fifty-
three; and although there were so
many, the net was not broken. 12
Jesus said to them, "Come and eat
breakfast." Yet none of the disciples
dared ask Him, "Who are
You?" — knowing that it was the
Lord.
13 Jesus then came and took the
bread and gave it to them, and
likewise the fish. 14 This is now the
third time Jesus showed Himself to
His disciples after He was raised from
the dead. 15 So when they had eaten
breakfast, Jesus said to Simon Peter,
"Simon, son of Jonah, do you love
Me more than these?" He said to
Him, "Yes, Lord; You know that I love
You." He said to him, "Feed My
lambs." 16 He said to him again a
second time, "Simon, son of Jonah,
do you love Me?" He said to Him,
"Yes, Lord; You know that I love You."
He said to him, "Tend My
sheep."
17 He said to him the third time,
"Simon, son of Jonah, do you love
Me?" Peter was grieved because He
said to him the third time, "Do you
love Me?" And he said to Him, "Lord,
You know all things; You know that I
love You." Jesus said to him, "Feed
My sheep. 18 Most assuredly, I say
to you, when you were younger, you
girded yourself and walked where you
wished; but when you are old,
you will stretch out your hands, and
another will gird you and carry you
where you do not wish." 19 This He
spoke, signifying by what death he
would glorify God. And when He had
spoken this, He said to him, "Follow
Me." NKJV

Matt 8:19-22
Then a certain scribe came and said to Him, "Teacher, I will
follow You wherever You go."
20 And Jesus said to him, "Foxes have holes and birds of the
air have nests, but the Son of Man has nowhere to lay His
head."
21 Then another of His disciples said to Him, "Lord, let me
first go and bury my father."
22 But Jesus said to him, "Follow Me, and let the dead bury
their own dead."
